Welcome to Weathersfield Organics.

Here at Weathersfield we are passionate about helping the home gardener to grow the best herbs and vegetables for their family and friends. We are only an email away if you have any questions.

We hope you find lots of useful information and where to buy and how to grow. We grow BioGro Certified Organic herb and vegetable seedlings and produce  compost and potting mix that is a BioGro certified input for organics . We have nurseries around the country in Canterbury, Nelson/Marlborough, Gisborne, West/Central Auckland and online.

We believe that growing your own organic vegetables is both great for you and your family but also really satisfying when you can serve up food that you have grown yourself. We believe organic products should be affordable and visually attractive.

Further History - Weathersfield Organics.

The founding nursery was started in Kaukapakapa in 2002. 

They did not wish to have a huge nursery from which they would be trucking seedlings all over the country. They decided to franchise the brand. Their idea was that small growers could supply their local community, retailers and farmers' markets.

In October 2019, they decided to retire and wished to continue their business philosophy of local growers serving local markets. We (Bridgit and Steve) who have owned the Weathersfield Nelson/Marlborough franchise since 2010 now own the parent company. We are enthusiastic for people to embody organics and homegrown produce.
