Sweet Genovese Basil – Italian Heirloom

Several seedlings in a 90 mm pot

ocimum basilicum – Annual – Height 35 cm x 25 cm

Ready to harvest from 20 days

Rich moist but well-drained soil in sun/part shade. Basil needs a steady supply of moisture and warm soil temperatures. Pinch the tip from the centre shoot after it has grown for 6 weeks to force side growth and prevent early flowering. If flower stalks develop, simply snip them off. Feed well to encourage lush growth.

Good companion to tomatoes.
