Celery – French Heirloom

apium graveolens – Annual
Height 20 cm x 60 cm

Prefers full sun. Plant in rich soil, high in organic matter with consistent, plentiful supply of moisture. As the plants grow, mound soil up around the base to avoid greening. Plants are shallow-rooted and require consistent moisture. Lack of water makes the stalks fibrous and bitter. Mulch to retain moisture, suppress weeds and avoid disturbing roots when cultivating.
