True Greek Oregano 

Several seedlings in a 90 mm pot

origanum vulgare hirtum – Perennial

Grows as small grey-green leaf bushes, not unlike sweet marjoram in appearance.

Grow in a sunny and warm spot. Cut plants back after flowering to prevent them from getting straggly. As winter approaches, cut back the year’s growth to about 6 cm from the soil.

Its authentic hot spicy flavour complements almost all tomato dishes, lamb stews, soups and sauces.
