Height 20 cm x 20 cm

Plant in rich moist soil part shade in summer, full sun for rest of year. Best planted spring, autumn and early winter, as it will bolt in hot weather. Keeping soil moist allows plants to grow continuously. Water lightly but consistently. Water early in day in autumn/winter so leaves aren’t wet at night.

This French Bibb type lettuce has almost magenta-coloured outer leaves, contrasting with the pale green to cream interior leaves untouched by the sun.

 Excellent for continual leaf picking for salads
