Red Salad Bowl Lettuce – Heirloom

Six seedlings in a punnet

lactuca sativa – Annual – Height 30 cm x 20 cm

Harvest baby leaves in 21 days; full maturity in 40 days.

Plant in rich moist soil part shade in summer, full sun for rest of year. Keeping soil moist allows plants to grow continuously. Water lightly but consistently.

The deep red and purple leaves are especially tender, with sweet and spicy tones. May be leaf picked or left to heart.
