Height 50 cm x 30 cm

Also known as Swiss chard.

Plant in loose, deep and fertile soil rich in organic matter. Consistent moisture with good air flow is required, especially as plants grow larger. Grows best in full sun, but will tolerate light shade in summer.

Harvest by snapping leaves off at ground level to promote new foliage. Plant another crop to overlap and ensure continuous harvest.

The crinkled leaves are mid-green with white veins and broad white stems.
