citrullus lanatus – Annual – Ready to harvest from 85 days

Trailing plant. Plant in a mound which includes lots of compost and well-rotted manure in full sun. Watermelons need warm soil. Provide ample water during the entire growing season.

Fruit is ripe when the tendril nearest to the fruit withers and dries up. They do not ripen off the vine. Juice or eat fresh or chilled.
