Globe Artichoke – Heirloom 

One seedling in a 90 mm pot

cynara scolymus – Perennial – Height 1.2 m x 90 cm

Easy to grow in any average soil. Looks good in any part of the garden. Harvest the buds prior to opening when 6–10 cm in diameter. If allowed to flower will become inedible, but look great and bees love them. 

Plants will produce buds in the first year from transplant but are better when cut back and carried over to the second year.
