Plant in rich moist soil with lots of organic matter in hot sunny spot. Provide steady supply of water. Thick-walled medium heat chilli, excellent for pickling or stuffing.

The green Jalapeño is a mild chili; the heat increases as it turns red at maturity. Use in Mexican-style cooking.
